It’s time to bust out the crock pot and soup recipes, because it’s finally feeling like Fall around here! I’ve been on a huge Pinterest kick the last few weeks–going back and making old recipes I love along with trying new ones that look easy and delicious. I usually try to find recipes that don’t require a crazy amount of prep time and can either cook all day in a crock pot or come together within 20 minutes in a pot. April Favorites

It’s time for another edition of my monthly favorites! With selling our house and my brain basically a bowl of mush, all I can really form into sentences for now is the stuff I’m really loving and think you all would love too! I’ve been heading over to the Pioneer Woman website a lot lately for recipe ideas. At the moment, I’m in love with her peanut butter pie! I’ve made this dessert twice in the last month. (…And I’ve been known to … Continue Reading »

Rustic Pizza

Today I’m talking about a super easy and delicious pizza recipe! I can’t take all the credit for it though. Living in Texas, there was a flatbread pizza I used to LOVE from a local restaurant. I tried recreating it, since I knew everything that came on it—and my recipe turned out so good! When you make the pizza, you can use whatever crust you like, such as the prepared flat outs in the grocery store or even pita bread! I use pizza dough … Continue Reading »

What’s Been Cookin’ Part 2!

So last week Liz mentioned a new strategy she’s been trying to make meal planning easier at her house called PrepDish! Check out that post here if you haven’t already!  I wanted to try to do better with my meal planning as well because food truly is the way to my husband’s heart, haha! But with my “all-day” morning sickness I had been dealing with, I seriously did not want to look at food, think about food or prep food! Thankfully, I received a coupon … Continue Reading »

What’s Been Cookin’

To mix things up, over the last few weeks Angie and I have both been trying different methods of meal planning. Angie has been using Hello Fresh (which she’ll talk about) and thanks to a college friend and also my love for Jamie Ivey’s podcasts, I heard about a subscription prep-ahead meal plan called Prepdish. We both went two different meal planning routes but have thoughts so far with our adventures…. Today, its Prepdish. And I’m a fan! This meal planning subscription gives … Continue Reading »

We are exactly 2 years and one day apart, but are so completely opposite, in the best way possible!   I am a hairstylist and live with my boyfriend and dog in Michigan. I love to cook and I know my boyfriend probably loves it just as much when I cook for him! This is one of my recipes that’s his favorite called “Rattlesnake Pasta.” It is a dish from J Alexanders … Continue Reading »

BCD

Have you ever had a favorite dish that when you eat it, it brings back memories or makes you think of special people in your life? With friends on my mind and football season right around the corner, I thought I’d share one of my favorite dips—Buffalo Chicken Dip (BCD.) I know the exact date this dip became a part of my life (such a sentimental day, jk, lol!) My good friend and roommate Claire was attempting a “new dip” for a party … Continue Reading »

·Black bean and corn quesadillas ⋅ AMAZING! 3 things you should know about this recipe—1) Its quick—there aren’t a million steps or lots of ingredients. 2) Its vegetarian—and if you’ve read some of my posts before, we like to eat this type of meal 1-2 times a week. (My husband thought this recipe actually had meat in it when he was eating it—its filling and tasty!) 3) Its cheap. Your most expensive ingredient is probably the $1 can of black beans or $1.50 … Continue Reading »
