Free to Struggle
Last week I uploaded some family photos to social media. Let me just say that I absolutely love them and they are amazing. I will cherish those photos forever. I received so many wonderful compliments and kind words of how beautiful we all look. These comments truly are so sweet and meaningful, but I have to be honest, all those kind words made me cry. I cried at first because your thoughtfulness made me feel so grateful for all I have in life. … Continue Reading »

Living in Love
Is anyone else a little speechless with everything that’s been going on the last few weeks? It’s hard to post about the silly or simple things when we live in a world that often times is dark and weary. I’m not an expert on politics or solving the world’s problems, but what I’ve been thinking of during the last few weeks is how precious life really is and how I can make my mark. Making a conscience decision about how to live my life–in … Continue Reading »

His Love is BIG
Thanks to Liz and Angie for letting me share my thoughts as a guest blogger! I live down the street from Liz and have enjoyed getting to know both her and Angie over the last year or so. I’m a fellow SAHM and blog somewhat infrequently at http://baaremans.blogspot.com. So, onto the post! As I watched the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics a few weeks ago, I was mesmerized by how many countries there are in the world. Sure, there were the big names … Continue Reading »

What My Mom Doesn’t Know
One thing my husband and I talk about frequently when we are trying to “fix the world’s problems” is how really, the most life-changing, meaningful or successful way to “change” this world is by— investing in people. We sometimes go round and round about how the government is flawed, what horrible things we see on the news, or what “so-and-so” should be doing that they aren’t doing. All these conversations draw us back though. Back to people. The real change is personal in someone’s life. … Continue Reading »

On Your First Birthday
Although my daughter’s birthday was a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to share a little note I wrote for her. Just a little insight into my hopes for her! Enjoy! Love, Angie Happy 1st Birthday Baby Girl!! This year has flown by and it still amazes me everyday that God chose me to be your Mommy. You are spunky and silly and I love watching you grow. We waited for you for so long. Every night while I hold you before … Continue Reading »

This Love
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I can’t help but think back to my first Valentine’s Day with my husband 13 years ago…we were juniors in high school and had only been dating a few months. I still remember him hiding the “newest” Maroon 5 CD in my locker (Songs About Jane). Oh how life was so simple back then. When our biggest worry as a couple was if we would be on time in the parking lot so we could walk into … Continue Reading »

Post Holiday Blues
So the holidays are over and it’s a new year! I don’t know about you, but I always seem to go into a little post holiday slump. I’m not sure if it’s the let down of all the excitement and activities or family heading back home, but I’m telling you it’s ROUGH. We had a sick little babe all through Christmas and New Years. She’s been sick before, but this was the first big sickness we’ve had. I felt like I was taking … Continue Reading »

What a picture doesn’t say
I love this picture above. This is my husband and I on vacation this fall. We had a blast! Overall, our week away from work, kids, and daily responsibilities was such a sweet and much needed time. As much as I love this picture, it is quite deceiving. It looks romantic, dreamy, or even picturesque. Maybe it looks like we are madly in love and dressed up in formal wear every time we kiss. You know as well as I do that … Continue Reading »
