Changes {the past few months}

YES everyone I am still here lol! I just realized I have not written a post in 3 months! Ah! (My sister even asked if I was still writing the blog with Liz and I assured her I was.) Our house has just been a little chaotic with lots of projects, traveling, and the normal stresses of life! Anyways, I promise I am still writing. To give you more of the scoop, I was in a little bit of a rut with Liz … Continue Reading »

GIVEAWAY #1 {Closed}

To celebrate our blog and as promised we have our first GIVEAWAY this week! If you’ve been following our instagram, Liz posted a story the other day about her goal setting planner she’s been doing from Cultivate What Matters, called Power Sheets. It’s a great way to be intentional with goals that ultimately matter in your life. It is awesome, but unfortunately they are sold out of all the planners for now. De-cluttering Christmas

One thing I tend to be guilty of around the holidays is over-complicating “traditions” or trying to start too many new ones. I’m the type of girl that when I see an idea I like—I jump on board pretty quickly. This can be a little risky since we live in an age where I can scroll through tons of ideas in literally no time. Rewind

Have you ever had the chance to look back on something you wrote, spoke or did in your past? Thanks to Timehop—lots of us see the memories, the moments and get a taste of the good things that have been in our lives. I’m thankful for the baby pictures that I haven’t seen of my girls in a few years or a picture with a friend that marked a special moment for the both of us. Although it isn’t wise to live in … Continue Reading »

When Life Gets in the Way

My husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary before he headed home last week! I took Elaina to the zoo with my mom, aunt, and little cousin. She was more interested in the statues of animals than the real things haha! We visited my Nana Jackie and Elaina got to see the infamous “Samantha” stuffed lion my grandmother has had for the … Continue Reading »

This Weekend

I am certainly not a theologian or anywhere close to delivering a message on Easter Sunday. I am not qualified and I even hesitated to write anything during this Holy Week. But then I remembered that those thoughts are lies.   What I can do, is talk about my experience. My story. It’s personal, real, and is what God is all about. The traditions, plans, parties, and expectations of this weekend ahead are overwhelming. They can feel stiff. Unrealistic. Untrue. What’s true to … Continue Reading »
