We Made It

After 8 months, our family moved to Atlanta! I posted earlier in April if you missed it, that we had listed our Augusta house for sale again. When people often asked about our timeline, I told them I was hoping and praying to move by June 1st. Well- surprise! It happened way faster than that. We moved May 12th.  Thankfully, within 5 days of listing our house, we had 2 offers! Praise hands all around!! So with a quickened timeline- we packed pretty … Continue Reading »

Time For An Update

Where did the last 4 weeks go?  I feel like I blinked and it should be March still instead of April 11th. Sorry for our lack of posts lately. Life has been great, but really full! Full of times with family and friends and also full of cleaning, clearing and preparing. To sell our house—again. If you were following along with the blog in the fall then you know that I wrote a post about our family moving. Check it out here if you … Continue Reading »

Favorites in February

It’s been a while since I’ve done a post about my favorite things and today’s favorites are definitely random! From working out and self-tanning, to wine and puzzles…it’s all in there! Although very random, it’s what I’ve been loving lately and wanting to share with you all! •Self tanner drops• Tired of looking ghostly and also prepping for a vacation in a few weeks, I stumbled upon someone on social media talking about self tanner drops. I have used different types of self … Continue Reading »

De-cluttering Christmas

One thing I tend to be guilty of around the holidays is over-complicating “traditions” or trying to start too many new ones. I’m the type of girl that when I see an idea I like—I jump on board pretty quickly. This can be a little risky since we live in an age where I can scroll through tons of ideas in literally no time. And also, where I start a project and then never finish it (x10), whoops! There are so many good … Continue Reading »

Taking the Leap…to Obey

A couple years ago, The Lord called my husband and me to foster care. My answer went a little something like this: “No, thanks. I like my one kid, he’s so easy! And, I don’t know a single person who does foster care; I literally know nothing about it. So, that’s a neat idea, God, but we’re going to pass.” A year later, we added another addition to our family, a sweet baby girl. She was 3 months old when the Lord called … Continue Reading »

Home Again With A Side of Coffee & Crackers

And just like that, we are home. Liz and I are back in the good ol’ south and it is soo HOT! I’ve loved the heat in Arizona and Texas, but this kind of humid Georgia heat is by far the most brutal! It’s good to be back and start settling in though. We already had dinner with Liz’s family last night, and all 4 girls were glad to be reunited and to enjoy some yummy popsicles. One last hometown favorite I had … Continue Reading »

Love for the Lake

We had a great 4th of July weekend, and like many, we celebrated with some special traditions.  (Strawberry Poke Cake–delicious!) My family doesn’t have a long list of traditions—but one thing I’ve LOVED since I was a little girl, was my time at the lake. Especially on the 4th of July. While growing up, time at the lake was where I learned to love water sports, swim like a fish, build campfires, and be able to invite/hangout with lots of friends! (thanks Mom … Continue Reading »

When Life Gets in the Way

Life has been pretty chill this last week which is perfectly fine with me—just hanging out and visiting with family! My husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary before he headed home last week! I took Elaina to the zoo with my mom, aunt, and little cousin. She was more interested in the statues of animals than the real things haha! We visited my Nana Jackie and Elaina got to see the infamous “Samantha” stuffed lion my grandmother has had for the … Continue Reading »

Hometown Love

Hello from Ohio! We are trying something new for the next few weeks over here on the blog. And it all has to do with our hometown. Since the root of this blogging adventure started with our hometown, and also since Angie and I are currently enjoying time here—we thought it would be fitting and also unique to make our posts about this place and all of the things that make it special. We can’t really say if our posts will be about … Continue Reading »

Family Date Night

The other day I found a yummy recipe on Pinterest that was titled “Date Night Mushroom Pasta with Goat Cheese.” Hello—mushrooms, goat cheese, pasta and a date night combined, sounded fabulous. I mentioned the recipe to Angie and we decided to try it together for the weekly dinners we like to have at one of our houses. So, last night was the night we had our “date night” dinner together with this new recipe. It obviously wasn’t a real date night with our … Continue Reading »
