Changes {the past few months}

YES everyone I am still here lol! I just realized I have not written a post in 3 months! Ah! (My sister even asked if I was still writing the blog with Liz and I assured her I was.)

Our house has just been a little chaotic with lots of projects, traveling, and the normal stresses of life! Anyways, I promise I am still writing.

To give you more of the scoop, I was in a little bit of a rut with Liz moving and all. I’ve been pretty emotional with her gone and I miss her like crazy. She’s my person and not having her here is hard. My daughter keeps asking to go to Liz’s house–which gets me every time! Thankfully, we did get to visit Liz, her husband and the girls the other weekend. We were able to see some other friends and my sister-in-law and brother-in-law as well which was so much fun!

We also took a quick trip to Ohio last month for my sister’s bridal shower! We’re all excited for her upcoming fall wedding and can’t wait to celebrate! I had my other sister snap some photos for me since this second child is already deprived and needed some belly shots!

I’m 35 weeks along now and definitely at that uncomfortable point with this Georgia heat! Not to mention that I am typing most of this left handed because of the pregnancy carpal tunnel I have going in my right hand lol! All I can say is pregnancy is not my jam. I hate to sound like I am complaining (I feel a lot of guilt for complaining because of our fertility journey) but I am so thankful for the life inside of me and can’t wait to meet this little one. It’s just physically and emotionally pregnancy wears me down. I’m either crying one minute or screaming at my poor husband the other!

When Liz moved I had a meltdown and cried for like 3 days straight! My daughter kept saying “Mama sad.” and I was like “Yes sweetie I am.” Deep in my heart I know a lot of the depression stems from not being in the Word. Like some of you, summers are hard with the breaks from all the bible studies that keep me accountable. I need to instill self-discipline and spend time with God because I know it truly brings me peace.

With all the upcoming changes, we switched my daughter to her new room this week too! My husband and I built her a toddler-crib bed type of thing. I don’t even know what to call it because it’s our own plan we came up with! Let’s just say, I’m sick of tools and spray paint, so I’ll definitely be taking a break from all the DIY stuff because my body needs a break!

The switch was bittersweet. I can’t believe she’s already in a new bed and baby #2 will be here before we know it! She’s doing great in her new room! Of course I had tons of anxiety and couldn’t sleep the first night because I was worried she would climb out, but she loves it and I’m so proud of her! I’ll post specifics about her room soon!

Well that was just kind of a hodge-podge of information and like I said we’re just entering another busy season of life that I need to remind myself will pass and one day I will miss it!
