Tough Stains Gotcha Down?!

This post is for all my laundry lovers out there! That’s probably no one by choice, but all of you because for obvious reasons—we all wear clothes (and hopefully clean them periodically) I am definitely not a guru in terms of what are the best, safest or cheapest laundry products out there, but I am an expert in washing clothes with LOTS O STAINS. Just this week for example, I’ve seen frosting, mud, food coloring, cherry juice, chalk and the lovely macaroni and … Continue Reading »

Hey 2017! {Giveaways Coming At Ya}

Hey 2017! Its been a fun few weeks celebrating Christmas and New Years, but man it feels good to be back into a routine. My daughter literally had the longest winter break ever (21 days off or something crazy like that.) We had such a blast with family, but all of us in my house, were ready to get back to “normal” after the holidays. Angie and I are excited to be blogging again this year! But, before our 2017 posts officially start … Continue Reading »

Blogiversary!!

Today marks one year of our blogging adventure! This truly has been a blessing and without Liz’s encouragement to try entering in to the blogging world, we wouldn’t be here. So, I’m super thankful to her (Liz) for pushing us forward! If anything, blogging is an outlet for the two of us, and a way to express what we are feeling in the moments, whether good an bad. Our own little online journal! We hope you have enjoyed our candid posts and transparency, … Continue Reading »

Resources For Cheap & Healthy Meals

Lately, I’ve been looking for meals that are quick, easy and HEALTHY. We’ve also been on more of a budget too—so the cheaper the better! One of our big ticket items for spending each month comes from groceries and with a family of 5, its easy to spend hundreds of dollars each month. Budget Bytes– Shout out to my friend … Continue Reading »

DIY Closet Makeover

While I had my mom in town a few weeks ago we took on a DIY project to makeover my master bedroom closet. I have a pretty standard closet. Its a small walk-in with wire shelves and hanging space. Again, nothing special and pretty standard. But as you can see below…this closet system wasn’t really working for me. MESSY (and embarrassing!) I wanted to make changes to my closet that were budget friendly, easy to complete and would ultimately make a difference—meaning, making … Continue Reading »

February Favorites

Heres what I’ve been loving this month— Keurig Mini– I know I’m behind the times with the Keurig. I’m actually kinda new to the coffee world. I didn’t start drinking coffee until after having my 2nd baby and really I just used the good ole coffee maker for a while. But since my husband drinks coffee mainly at work and I am usually running around a lot in the morning—one easy cup in the Keurig seemed really fitting and convenient. I am loving … Continue Reading »

Ready, Set, Potty Train

Everyone cross your fingers. This weekend are are tackling the lovely hurdle of potty training our middle daughter, who is 2 1/2 years old.  The time has come…and actually she was probably ready a few months ago, but as much as the whole potty thing is a commitment for our daughter…it is for us too. No more jumping in the car or walking around the zoo without 17,000 potty breaks. We have carved out time with the long weekend ahead to specifically work … Continue Reading »

hair products for the hopeless

I’m kind of hopeless when it comes to styling my hair and keeping up with the latest hair trends, but I am always looking for new (and cheap) products to try for wavy hair.  My hair isn’t stick straight or beautifully curly–instead its an awkward in-between wave…that I still haven’t mastered how to style. And since having kids its gotten even trickier.  This week at Target, I picked up these new products.  Its always refreshing to mix up my shampoo and conditioner routine. These … Continue Reading »
