When Life Hands You Lemons…You Just Survive
Ok y’all! I’m BAAACK! Well kind of! I am slowly trying to crawl out of the rock I’ve been living under for the last few months! I swear, having a baby throws you for a loop! So I guess that’s where I will begin! We welcomed our second daughter, Nora Ann on July 25th! She was 3 days late, but actually the timing was perfect! My doctor was working in the hospital that day and my mother-in-law had come to stay with us … Continue Reading »

Our Little Getaway to Platform 9 3/4
My husband and I just got back from a long weekend getaway! It was our first trip together since our honeymoon 8 years ago—partially because I have anxiety about traveling and also because we had our daughter a year ago. Anyways, we are super nerdy and have been DYING to go to Harry Potter World! So we took advantage of all the great military discounts and decided to go to Universal Studios in Orlando! We had SO much fun! Just hanging out, sleeping … Continue Reading »

April Favorites
Wow where has April gone!! This month has flown by and summer is almost here! Just wanted to share some of my favorites from this month. Hope you enjoy!! VitaRain Zero–If you have a Costco obsession like Liz and I, then grab a pack of this stuff! This Kirkland version is so much better than the name brand Vitamin Water! We probably drink too much of it, but when I’m super thirsty and water isn’t satisfying, I run to this! One-Minute Romance for … Continue Reading »

Our Infertility Journey
This week is National Infertility Awareness Week and I thought it would appropriate to open my heart and begin to share my story. I am not writing this post to complain about the path God gave me, but rather to give hope to other women. After going through infertility struggles, I’ve realized there are so many other women out there suffering through the same emotional and physical difficulties. I wish I had talked about my infertility with more people because now I realize the … Continue Reading »

A Different Date
With 3 little girlies, a very small handful of babysitters, and a resident schedule and salary, my husband and I only get around to date nights every so often. We know “date night” is important and necessary for our sanity and marriage though. Date night is usually dinner out, followed by some classic Netflix binge watching. We love and appreciate our date nights, but it is also fun to try new things. Again we are somewhat limited with our current life situation and … Continue Reading »

This Love
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I can’t help but think back to my first Valentine’s Day with my husband 13 years ago…we were juniors in high school and had only been dating a few months. I still remember him hiding the “newest” Maroon 5 CD in my locker (Songs About Jane). Oh how life was so simple back then. When our biggest worry as a couple was if we would be on time in the parking lot so we could walk into … Continue Reading »

Austen Obsession
With the cold weather, (yes it’s been cold in GA—it even snowed this weekend!) I have been watching a lot of TV. I don’t usually do this, but when my hubby is at work and the babe is in bed… it’s kind of my guilty pleasure. I’m obsessed with period pieces, specifically Jane Austen movies. I can’t really put my finger on it but there is something I love about a simpler time. When chivalry still existed. When marriages seemed lasting! Anyways, I … Continue Reading »

Gifts That Give Back 2015
This year Liz and I tried to buy gifts that had meaning behind them. Not that every gift doesn’t have meaning; we more so wanted to find gifts from companies that gave back in some way. I would have posted this before Christmas, but I didn’t want to give any gifts we got for others away! Hopefully you can use the list throughout this upcoming year! Cuddle + Kind Dolls From their website: “cuddle+kind is a social endeavour created by Jennifer and Derek Woodgate … Continue Reading »

What a picture doesn’t say
I love this picture above. This is my husband and I on vacation this fall. We had a blast! Overall, our week away from work, kids, and daily responsibilities was such a sweet and much needed time. As much as I love this picture, it is quite deceiving. It looks romantic, dreamy, or even picturesque. Maybe it looks like we are madly in love and dressed up in formal wear every time we kiss. You know as well as I do that … Continue Reading »
