VitaRain Zero–If you have a Costco obsession like Liz and I, then grab a pack of this stuff! This Kirkland version is so much better than the name brand Vitamin Water! Room Sharing Tips

For the last 6 months my two daughters (2 and 4 years old) have been sharing a room and I really couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. It was a big transition for my 2 year old, because not only was she changing rooms to move in with her big sis, but she was also transitioning out a crib into a “big girl bed.” So I knew I had my work cut out for me with the whole process. Again, overall I … Continue Reading »

Our Infertility Journey

This week is National Infertility Awareness Week and I thought it would appropriate to open my heart and begin to share my story. I am not writing this post to complain about the path God gave me, but rather to give hope to other women. After going through infertility struggles, I’ve realized there are so many other women out there suffering through the same emotional and physical difficulties. I wish I had talked about my infertility with more people because now I realize the … Continue Reading »

Be Kind

“Be Kind.” Those are the words I wrote on our kitchen chalkboard the other morning. Originally, the purpose of those words were meant to remind my girls to be kind—they really struggle throughout the day to share, be polite, show self-control, be gentle and not whine. I’m guessing most 2 and 4-year-old sisters struggle with this throughout their days. But anyways, in my mind, my girls really need to work on their kindness and sometimes ugly moments. Yesterday morning, I saw an ugly moment … Continue Reading »

7 words that describe our 7 day vacation (with kids)

We were just with our “wild things” aka children on our first week long vacation to Mexico. I know that the last thing most people want to read or hear about in general are all the details about a family vacation. No one wants all that info and no one probably really cares. Am I right?? Soooo, I’m going to keep this super short and sweet.  Here are 7 words that describe our first 7 day vacation WITH OUR KIDS: (dont miss the all caps!)  … Continue Reading »

Sound Sleep: Tools to Help EVERYONE sleep!

So as the summer months approach it seems to be sunnier and brighter outside which I love! However, the sun and bright light is not so great for naps. Blackout curtains are great, but they seem to be limited in style.  Enter…BLACKOUT CURTAIN liners! You can turn any curtains into blackout curtains with these things! I found them at Home Depot and we have a set in both our bedroom for my husband’s shift work, and of course our daughter’s room for her … Continue Reading »

On Your First Birthday

Although my daughter’s birthday was a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to share a little note I wrote for her. Just a little insight into my hopes for her! Enjoy! Love, Angie   Happy 1st Birthday Baby Girl!! This year has flown by and it still amazes me everyday that God chose me to be your Mommy. You are spunky and silly and I love watching you grow. We waited for you for so long. Every night while I hold you before … Continue Reading »

Spring Themed First Birthday!

When you have a best friend down the street with a daughter who turns one only a couple weeks before your little one, it makes planning a 1st birthday a whole lot EASIER and CHEAPER!! I decided to plan a “Spring” themed party for my daughter’s first birthday seeing how it was only a few days before Easter.  I figured the decorations would look great for both. Two parties in one! I used lots of colored streamers and balloons and like I said, I … Continue Reading »

Wine and Candle Girl

I didn’t have a chance to squeeze in a post about my March favorites, so I thought today I would share just one small favorite thing of mine.  As the years go on I am loving wine more and more, and I have always had a small obsession with fancy (good smelling) candles. So let me introduce you to a brilliant combination of both wine & candle—Rewined Candles. Hands-down, this is my FAVORITE candle. It’s a recycled wine bottle (score for recycling!) that … Continue Reading »

DIY Closet Makeover

While I had my mom in town a few weeks ago we took on a DIY project to makeover my master bedroom closet. I have a pretty standard closet. Its a small walk-in with wire shelves and hanging space. Again, nothing special and pretty standard. But as you can see below…this closet system wasn’t really working for me. MESSY (and embarrassing!) I wanted to make changes to my closet that were budget friendly, easy to complete and would ultimately make a difference—meaning, making … Continue Reading »
